This week Glee takes on the song of Fleetwood Mac’s studio album Rumours. While I loved all the songs that were covered, I don’t really consider myself a Fleetwood Mac fan, so I wasn’t overly excited for the episode. However, I have to say I was beyond pleasantly surprised with the results and how the writers worked it into the episode.
As in any high school, especially McKinley High, rumors are something that everyone deals with; they can break up friendships or make them stronger. Therefore, Rumours was the perfect album to feature on Glee.
[I’m also including a brief review of last week’s episode Born This Way at the end, along with my thoughts on next week’s episode based on the preview, so lots of Glee reviewing in this post]

GLEE IS BACK! I think, we all breathed a sigh of relief when today finally came. It felt like it would never get here. Also today, the Warblers released their CD, so please head over to itunes and support them!
Tonight Glee took to representing neglected artists, both with their song choices, and with the cast chosen for performances. Both Tina and Mike Chang received deserved screen time. Sunshine Corazon, also returned.

I stumbled upon this article and it makes some good points. [Click the post title to read the original article] I can see where they’re coming from. I’m not sure I entirely agree but its interesting to think about.
Both Blaine and Ben were introduced in a successful show’s second season, as guest stars but soon after given regular status. The popularity of these characters then changed the course of each show respectively. It will be interesting to see how the storyline of Blaine pans out.
I know personally, as much as I ADORE Blaine and Darren Criss, I have missed some of my favorite Gleeks these past weeks, including Chris Colfer’s Kurt, who finally got some screen time and songs this past week, as well as Mercedes and Tina.
What are your thoughts on the matter? Do you agree? Do you disagree? Do you see the relationship? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
