If we chose to, we can live in a world of comforting illusions. We can allow ourselves to be deceived by false realities. Or we can use them to hide our true intentions.

Destiny to believe that a life was meant for a single purpose, one must also believe in a common fate… father to daughter, brother to sister, mother to child, blood ties can be as unyielding as they are eternal. But it is our bonds of choice that truly light the road we travel: love versus hatred, loyalty against betrayal.A person’s true destiny can only be revealed at the end of his journey…
and the story I have to tell, is far from over…

In every life there comes a day of reckoning, a time when unsettled scores demand their retribution, and our own lies and transgressions are finally laid bare.
ABC promised a shocking finale, and I can now safely say they made good on that claim.

They say grief occurs in five stages. First there’s denial, followed by anger. Then comes bargaining, depression, and acceptance. But grief is a merciless master. Just when you think you’re free, you realize you never stood a chance.

What do you get when you cross Revenge with Inception? Legacy.
(Well if you toss out the dreaming part). The majority of tonight’s episode, as publicized, was told in a flashback to New Years 2002 when Emanda (still Amanda) catered the Grayson’s lavished event. However there were flashbacks within the flashback giving the story three layers of time, intertwined only by the similar setting, New Years at Grayson Manor.
Simply put, the episode was brilliant. One of the best so far.

As much as I love Revenge, writing the reviews each week is quite difficult. It takes me a little while to stop flailing over the episode and compose my thoughts. The show just kills my brain with it’s drama and scandals. I get chills and can feel my heartbeat change thought the episodes. I am honestly impressed week after week, as the show continues to grow in ways I never suspected originally. The creators and writers of this show are brilliant. I don’t think I could praise them enough for the work they’ve done. Similarly the show would not be anything without the talented cast and crew that make each episode come alive, off the page. Revenge should inspire other television series to strive for more, to never stop pushing the story forward, to never stop short of excellence.
In tonight’s all new episode entitled, “Absolution,” everyone is on edge about Daniel’s release from prison. The media continues to target him as one of the privileged 1% (how well real life fit into the show’s storyline), prompting Daniel to take action. Daniel agrees to sit down and tell his side of things. Unfortunately things don’t go entirely as planned (at least not how Emanda hoped they would go).

“Scandal” marks the last new episode of Revenge until April, but the viewers were given a great deal of information to mull over until then. There are still many questions to be asked, but to my surprise, we did learn what exactly happened on the beach that night. With that much at least, I am content to wait until April to find out what happens. next.

Put simply, when the cast and crew of Revenge said “Charade” was going to be a game changing episode, they did not lie. “Charade” takes the drama, thrills and suspense to a new high, levels above what has been delivered so far.
The fast paced episode puts it all on the line, and resembled a mid season finale more than just another episode. Unfortunately, viewers will still have to wait an extra week to find out what comes next in the ever evolving Hamptons saga, but it’s better than months. After tonight’s episode, viewers might need a week vacation to assess all the events that have taken place so far, and what is still to come.
To truly see the whole picture, I recommend viewers go back to the beginning and watch all seven episodes that have aired so far between now and November 16. It will be a good refresher but also events and circumstances may have different undertones, knowing what we know now.
It is no wonder, Revenge has an ever growing fanbase. It does well in ratings, but it deserves to do better. Revenge is easily the smartest, most well planned, thrilling series on television currently. It also does an amazing job at keeping the story fresh and exciting, while almost never being predictable. That is an incredible feat.
Congratulations ABC, Revenge is a stunning work of art. I am in awe.

Drama, suspense and more!
Tonight’s all new Revenge entitled “Intrigue,” did just that. While the episode wasn’t as fast-paced as some in the series have been, it was full of intrigue and fascination.
It looks like Emily may have some competition in the manipulation and lying game department, and its not just from Queen Victoria. First up is Daniel’s college bff Tyler. It seems he has his own agenda, and Emily is public enemy number one. It is unclear if he wants Daniel back to his old self, or if he is also setting Daniel up in order to get closer to Conrad and Victoria. Viewers learned a bit more about Tyler tonight, as him and Emily go head to head over dinner. I started suspecting that Tyler may be broke a week or so ago; a fact that is hinted at tonight. Emily caught him in a lie about an island his family owns, which leads me to believe there may be a lot more he is lying about. Looks like Emily is a better at getting her backstory lies together; that girl knows everything.
Next up, the target of the week and Grayson bodyguard, Frank. After last week’s incident with Lydia which Emily had not anticipated, she must quickly readjust her plan and decides to pin everything on Frank, including Lydia’s attempted murder. Nolan encrypts the video and anonymously sends it to Conrad who lets Frank go. Unfortunately, Frank is better at this than Nolan and thought to check the security footage for the building to find out who may have made the video. Poor Nolan, he is just trying to help. Frank isn’t going to go away with out a fight, he knows Nolan is connected with Emily and can put two and two together. Watch your back Ems. You’ve got three people all out to get you with clueless Daniel in the middle.
Matchmaking Nolan is at it again. I appreciate that the boy is trying to put together a rightful couple in Amanda and Jack, but Amanda is gone, at least for now. Nolan is trying to put something together that could ruin everything Emily has and is trying to accomplish. He wants to help her, but in a way he is hurting the one person who loves her, Jack. The scene tonight between Jack and Emily was heartbreaking. The two of them have great chemistry and the passion in their eyes was intense, making it even more worst. Amanda’s still in there, and Jack brings her out in Emily, but for now, Emily is too strong and too motivated.
“Intrigue” offers a different approach to storytelling than viewers have been introduced to so far with the series. It’s nice that the writers have kept the format new and fresh. After the first few episodes, I began to worry that the basic layout of the episodes were the same. However, my worry was unneeded, the cast and crew of Revenge are all top notch and know how to create a good evolving story.
